overview

WCI takes keen interest in the health and the wellbeing of the widows and their families by providing timely medical responses. With the loss of the husband, the widows remain with a number of orphans to care for and yet have no sound source of income. A number of health issues pose a big challenge to the wellbeing of the widows, other vulnerable women and their families.

Health issues such as HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis, fever, back and joint pains, high and low blood pressure, diabetes, malnutrition, respiratory infections, arthritis, ulcers, hearing problems, infectious diseases and poor hygiene challenge the women’s health.

Our ground health team ensures that such health issues affecting the widows are addressed on time.

In addition, nutritional issues are also addressed among the widows and other vulnerable women. Women and their families are taught on nutritional practices and empowered to make good meals and take care of their bodies.
